Wow, The US Just Got A Little Less Shitty

The Senate authorized the military to repeal the law banning gay people to serve. It's not actually a "repeal" of the law, but authorization to implement the plan to do it.

Good deal, have a happy gay Christmas folks. Just for once.

Don't Tell, Don't Ask

So DADT was upheld today, and as a person who served in the US military on Submarines, I can go along with waiting to hear what the current enlisted have to say. That will come in December, and I can only hope it's a better outlook when I served from 81-87. The persecution back then was near brutal..

Frankly, it shouldn't be an issue. If an American wants to protect our country, they should be allowed to do so if they are physically able to do the job.
