CO, Cap And Trade

My take on using this for "carbon credits":

Are you out of your mind? Does anyone see how this opens up all kinds of fraud, waste and abuse? Oh, I have 10 square miles of rain forest in Brazil, buy my credits! Then a year later I sell the land and it gets clear cut for corn production and the lumber. Who checks on all these and even evaluates it in the fist place?

There's an app for that. Companies have popped up all over "promising" to do diligent work in evaluating "credits".

And who wants to trust yet another "market"? Nooo. Just mandate restrictions on emissions and fines if companies can't find ways to meet them. Where is that "clean coal" that I heard so much about in 2010?

Since I am on this, "sequestering Carbon" is stupid too. You can't plug the earth and fill it up with CO gas. It will leak.

Good thing this is being reigned in. It seems everyone on Earth has forgotten that most of the northern hemisphere was under glaciers just 12000 years ago. I would assume this is just the tail end of the warming that melted all that ice, and in a few thousand years, we will start back into the next ice age. Under those melting Greenland Glaciers, once stood forests. So will they again.

These slicky "scientist" guys can go scale data ranges (to best serve their desires) and scare someone else. If fraud charges are possible, I hope a government somewhere has the balls to press for that.

Sea Level Rise...Not So Bad

Yeah, I guess the cooling trend has the "scientists" starting to back off the gloom and doom of global warming. Oh wait, it's "climate change" now. That's what the weather does every day, it changes. And these guys can't tell me what the weather will be tomorrow.

If you ask your local weather person about it, they will say "no comment", because Meteorologists (people who actually deal with facts) don't see any trends.

Global Cooling

I actually write down when we get our last snow flurry on my Calendar each year. Last year, it was April 4th. Today it is happening on April 7th. That must mean we have gotten almost one percent cooler, because it is happening one percent later in the spring. Refute those "facts". Go ahead, the data is as solid as anything real "scientists" are tossing around.

Cooling Is Normal With Global Warming

Ok, the first problem is having people who can't predict the weather next week, thinking it's "normal" to have cooling in a warming trend. The word normal implies you are sure about something, which no one is. They are all guessing, as are "computer models".

This article also contradicts itself by saying good long term data would result in better conclusions and proof, and counting 10, 20 or 100 years is no where near enough time to develop a "trend". It would take more like 5-10 thousand years, if not more. Better get started on that guys.

Gobal Warming Again

Yep, these guys and gals have their "shit in order", right? That means they know exactly what they are talking about.

If so, why do they continuously use phrases like "waters could rise". And Lord Stern is an economist, where the hell does he get off saying anything about meteorology?? Oh, right, the economy is already fucked, so let's all panic about the weather that "could" happen.

Um, 2500 researchers saying the words "could", "may" and "might" don't scare me. Get an actual Meteorologist to speak up and I am listening. The problem is, they aren't saying anything because they know this is crap.

Chill out people, mother earth will kill us all long before we can do any lasting damage. And has a single person actually died from global warming? No, they have died from the same old weather we always get. The UK had snow for the first time in memory this year and the eastern US coast has had record cold temps. Explain this please? How can that happen on a globe that is warming all over?
