Cool Lamps

I was at Target, and these things jumped out at me and said, "You Own US". Now I really do.

Yes, it's an adjustable-wooden-tripod-lamp with brass fittings. Why we had to get this from China is beyond me!?

Direct Mounted Shelves..

Yep, no hangers or supports, they mount directly into the wall..

This is not the easiest thing in the world to do. You have to:

Find the studs (use a magnet).

Drill holes into the studs, perfectly straight and avoid the nails (use a magnet).

Drill perfect holes into the Shelves, good luck!

Cut threaded rod that barely fits into the holes and then drive them into the wall with a hammer;

Now, bang the shelves into place, but tweak the threaded rods in the wall with a hammer first, and make sure they are level. The blue tape was there to even up one edge of all of the shelves. It all looks cool, but it's a lot of work.

Oh, did I mention to be sure to drill the holes 3.5" each way, and cut the rod into 6.5" lengths..a very important lesson learned!
