How One Japan Villiage Survived

The Mayor of the Villiage (Kotaku Wamura) had the hindsight, 40 years ago, to build the floodgate/seawall.
It took that long to pay off, but it saved the majority of the villiage. Hat's off to you sir! The two cost about $200 per person to build.
