The House Passes Healthcare Reform

It was not a surprise, to me anyway. It was really scary to watch the amendment to HR 3962 (Abortion abolition), pass as well.

Minority leader, John Boner was really worried about the abortion thing passing. Why? Well, some 64 Democrats voted for it, and they will now get to go into the 2010 elections as having done so, and tout that fact. They are probably all in fairly "conservative" parts of the country, and will have an ace up their sleeves. It's a trick the Democrats learned from the Republicans.

The "sad news" for Republicans, is the text of the Abortion Ammendment to HR 3962 will not be in the bill that goes to the President. This is what John Boner realized, a little too late. he thought he was being soooo sly with the amendment, but it has backfired in his face.
