Will you pay for it? Or somehow justify raising taxes now? Raising taxes is toxic at any time.

I would personally be ALL FOR diverting about 1/2 of the HHS (waste of money) budget to NASA, but that is only because I have personal experience in the vast waste perpetrated at HHS every year.

This fuckhead has been bouncing around Congress for over 20 years, and I have NEVER hear of him until today. Yep, today he decided to grow a pair of balls worthy of a slider and curve ball to end the ninth inning (he used to be a pitcher, get jokes?).

I expect some 15+ Million people in the US (over 630K in his home state) are going to be asking Jim, next week, what the fuck dude? That's how many people will be on the street without a crutch, Unemployment and Cobra Benefits are over. How can one person decide this? Um, thank the Senate for perverting our Constitution to the point of lunacy.

Frankly, I have to admire the move. The US is broke and Jim knows it. Jim has been part of the problem that got us RIGHT here, now he seems to feel guilty. I expect the old white haired guy (one of oh so many) will not run for re-election and go enjoy spending all of that cash he piled up in his 24 years in Congress.

I won't be here to see it, but in 10 years, all these old white guys (both in Congress and across the south) will all be dead. Their legacy and racist dreams will die right along with them. You heard the concern at the Tea Party Convention? "We don't have enough handicapped parking spaces!" Tic Tic Tic...

As close as I can tell, we are paying about 14 cents of every tax dollar to just pay the interest on our debt NOW. Imagine in 10 years paying twice as much? That means we have 25% less Federal services here in the US, so we can continue pay interest, for more debt over there (wherever). Does anyone else get this, or should I just move to Europe or Africa?

This is not a republican, democrat, conservative or liberal issue. It's basic finance and there seems to be no politician willing to step up and tell the truth; about raising taxes and cutting services. We have to, or the USA will fail.

Don't Raise The National Debt Ceiling

So says John Bo[eh]ner. Well, he voted to raise it six times under George Bush, what up dude??

John is playing a game (like golf), he wants to enforce a 2/3 requirement on votes for raising the debt limit, which is fine by me. They also want to make these increases stand alone bills, not riders on other bills (look what Bush did for the past 8 years).

Um, it is sad that the Republicans admit they are too late to actually get this introduced or passed at this time (not thinking ahead, again), but I am sure it will be an excellent talking point in the next round of elections.
