Counterfeit Parts In Military Equipment

From where else? China!

http://armed-services.senate.gov/Publications/Counterfeit%20Electronic%20Parts.pdf

Read at least the Executive Summary. Pretty amazing narrative, which is just another reason so many jobs that belong in America, are really in China, Mexico and Germany.

US Senate Vote On Oil Co. Tax Subsidies.

A little dated, but I think I see John McCain in there.

No republicans supported cutting the $2BN+ tax subsidies for the big oil companies.  They were joined by the following elitist “Democratic” Senators
Begich (D-AK)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Nelson (D-NE)
Webb (D-VA)

The full vote: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=2&vote=00063

Yes, our tax dollars subsidize the dividends paid out by big oil.  A pass through to rich people (and a lot of Senators are investors in the very companies in question).  Pretty sickening, they vote to put our money right into their pockets...

Senator Amy Klobuchar Gets Some Pork

Bill Summary: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d112:SN01134:@@@D&summ2=m&

Votes: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2012/roll093.xml  (bipartisan pork)

Here's the project that we all get to pay for.  I have never gone there (and never will).  That is the definition of a congressional pork project.

It was funny that the House web site didn't show the Bill on the main page of the www.house.gov site.. (pulling the wool over our eyes).

So for 6000 people in Stillwater MT, and 700 in Houton WI, we Americans are flipping the bill of $633,400,000.00.

Another Kennedy In The Senate?

http://www.boston.com/Boston/metrodesk/2012/01/joseph-kennedy-iii-launch-exploratory-committee/tFAemLmqix0uZ61FajdjfM/index.html

Why not, they are usually on the "right" side of things (if that exists).  And Joe is a Ginger!  Not enough of that (naturally) in the Senate, they are nuts, and fun.  What the hell, good luck Joe.  Maybe he will champion term limits?  Please??

Senators Won't Tax The Rich

All of the Republicans killed this bill today (just a 1 year little tax hike on the rich). Two Democrats, Tester (of Montana) and Manchin (of West Virgina) voted to also keep the rich...getting richer.

Don't fool yourself, a whole lot of the Senators that voted for the bill, would not have, if they thought there was chance in hell it would pass. The majority of Congress is out to keep themselves and their buddies rich. And fuck the poor.  The 90% at the bottom.

US Senate Kills Another Jobs Bill (shocker)

In my continuing series highlighting Senators who are "afraid to tax the rich", every Republican Senator voted against an infrastructure bill today (except Snowe) and one Democrat.

Joe Manchin opposed even debating the bill. I guess he thinks it's ok to have Americans out of work, while rich people get richer by the day. Oh, he is filthy rich himself.
You can contact his office at the link under his name, or call 202-224-3954..please let him know what you think of his vote.

Which Senators Won't Tax The Rich?

Well, all of the Republicans said no (as usual), but a couple Democrats did too. Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska thinks rich people are taxed enough!
Ben's home, he's rich.

Jon Tester of Montana was the other one.  He has a big farm out in Big Sandy, Montana.  Jon is also rich.
Here's the vote record;http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=1&vote=00160

If you notice Harry Reid also votes yes, it's because he has to do that so he can call up the bill again.

Your US Congress

I was taking a look at what our US Congress has been up to, and I found the following pending legislation  that I found interesting;

1. Sen. Mike Crapo (best name in congress) introduced S.521 (For the relief of Tim Lowery and Paul Nettleton of Owyhee County, Idaho) as a"private" bill.  That means we can't see what it's about.  This has to violate some rule somewhere?

I did a little digging and these two Ranchers in Idaho had to pay a bunch of lawyers fees to fend off a water rights legal battle against the Feds.  They won, but didn't get court costs.  So Crapo has introduced "private" legislation to take care of a payback.  How the hell is that constitutional Mike?

2. Senator Wyden introduced S.543 (Wireless Tax Fairness Act of 2011) which prohibits The States (legal rights under the Constitution) from setting their own tax rates on wireless users.  Um, so the States can't tax THIS ONE bit of commerce in their own borders?  Very unconstitutional, and cosigned by John McCain and others.  So glad both sides of the aisle are happy to ignore the Constitution.

3.  This is cool, Senator Saxby Chambliss want's to set up a special "legal torture" wing of DHS.  Don't worry, it's only good on "Unprivileged Enemy Belligerents"; There was another bill introduced using the same term. UEB will replace "terrorist some day?  Just be nice and raise your hand, then you can blow up anything you want.

4. Since 2005, Senators Enzie and Barsasso have been trying to get someone called ""Ashley Ross Fuller" citizenship, without going through normal procedures.  With another "privete" bill.  WHY??  Give us a good reason and we might go along with it.

Senate Votes On Tax Increases

So the US Senate had a vote to (two actually).  The first was to move to a vote on extending tax cuts to middle class American families making $250,000 per year, or less.  That failed.  Then a vote was taken on extending tax cuts to middle class American and families making $1,000,000 per year, or less.

All the Republicans and the following "Democrats" (including and back stabber Lieberman), voted no;

Durbin (D-IL),
Harkin (D-IA),
Rockefeller (D-WV),

This was not good enough, the billionaires can't pay more (the poor guys)!  And none of this is paid for, it will continue to drive the country into debt, while unemployment benefits run out for many people.  It runs out because the Republicans complained that it was not paid for.  Hypocrisy?  Ya think?

I hope America is happy?  Had a good time voting in 2010?  See what we have to look forward to?  Another round of middle class americans (and that is in lower case on purpose) being driven into or closer to poverty, while the rich, just get richer.  Well fucking done, people.  You shot yourselves in the foot, and the limping is just around the corner.  It starts in January 2011.

Why the Senate Should Ratify START Treaty NOW!

For decades, American inspectors have monitored Russian nuclear forces, putting into practice President Ronald Reagan's favorite maxim, "Trust, but verify." But since the old START Treaty expired last December, we have relied on trust alone. Until a new treaty comes into force, our inspectors will not have access to Russian missile silos and the world's two largest nuclear arsenals will lack the stability that comes with a rigorous inspection regime.

Fake Ads - Robert J Smith

http://vimeo.com/14590823

This video has images from a park that is a 1/2 mile away from the site he is talking about, nothing he was involved with. Little lies like this now, expose what he very well might do if he gets in office (become a big fat cash slurping liar).  As much as I dislike Nancy King, I think I have to vote for the witch.
