Iraq Want's Obama To Stop Kurd Oil Deal

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/06/19/iraq-oil-exxon-obama-idUKL1E8HJ8L720120619

The south is afraid the north might make some money.. Turkey is more than ready to take the oil directly.  A big boondogle for Exxon, easy money.

Glad We Fought That War In Iraq

So the oil could go to China (who didn’t fight at all in the war).

http://in.reuters.com/article/2012/06/18/cnpc-iraq-halfaya-idINL3E8HI0QT20120618
Are we just moving to China or something? We have given them everything, our jobs, the oil..

US Senate Vote On Oil Co. Tax Subsidies.

A little dated, but I think I see John McCain in there.

No republicans supported cutting the $2BN+ tax subsidies for the big oil companies.  They were joined by the following elitist “Democratic” Senators
Begich (D-AK)
Landrieu (D-LA)
Nelson (D-NE)
Webb (D-VA)

The full vote: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=2&vote=00063

Yes, our tax dollars subsidize the dividends paid out by big oil.  A pass through to rich people (and a lot of Senators are investors in the very companies in question).  Pretty sickening, they vote to put our money right into their pockets...

Supreme Court Case Against Shell As A Person, For Torture

Well, these "companies" are "people", so lets charge them with crimes as "people". CEOs on orange jump suits sounds great. It won't happen though, because these "companies" have "money". So we can all fuck off, because we don't.

It should make for an interesting hearing, and I will post the audio Friday.

Keystone Pipeline IS For China

Is it a shocker that China bought a full stake in the project??

The amazing thing is, there is already a leg of the pipeline running from Alberta to Steele City Nebraskra, so why do they need another route, as opposed to running another pipe next to the existing one??  See Phase 4 on the diagram here: http://www.transcanada.com/keystone_pipeline_map.html

It would solve all the waiting and arguments.  Just spend a few more bucks and make that happen guys.  Then China gets their Oil and the refiners get the work, and Nebraska gets a secure water supply.

Shell Oil Moves Ahead With Arctic Oil

The EPA gives the go-ahead, after air quality issues were addressed.  That's good.  Everyone else has opened up their Arctic waters to drilling, so we should too.

I just wish like hell, that people would realize that this does VERY LITTLE for America.  Oil production is dumped into a Global Market, and OPEC can offset any increase in production elsewhere.  This oil does not belong to America.  We are giving it to rich companies for pennies, so they can make rich stock-holder people, richer.

In my opinion, that means they can all pay some more taxes.  Drill baby drill...

Arab League

Funny, Aljazeera runs the story about "recognizing the Libyan NTC, but NOTHING about Syria's claims of being over-run by terrorists (which they aren't). Such a funny biased news organization... One of their reporters tweeted that the Arab League would push for Syrian Presidential elections (won't happen), withdrawal of troops (won't happen) and a "unity government" (won't happen).

Oh, not to totally bash their incompetence, they did hoist the new Libyan flag at the meeting.  Good job!!  Thank the CIA and US Navy for making it possible.

Oil Rigs Shouldn't Sink

The Deepwater Horizon did today. So I have a BEFORE picture. After is just the open Gulf water with an oil slick. Why don't these things have an OFF button??

Obama Waffles On Oil Production??

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/presidential-memorandum-united-states-outer-continental-shelf

Cuts off resources in Brisol Bay Alaska, but opens up the East Coast, at least verbally. He has "a plan".

It's a pretty good ploy; Announce a totally non-binding "plan" and let every Republican voter in the country soak that in (feels nice eh?). Let the pundits clap or groan, it still tugs at their heart strings...trying his best, Obama is. That was a bit Yoda-ish, sorry.

So maybe this guy is more in the "middle" than we all thought. Seed planted.

In reality, every State that bitches about it, will be left to decide for themselves. The smart ones will buy in, because that far out in the Ocean, any oil spill would be swiftly carried away by the Gulf Stream and prevailing winds. Off to cause problems for Europe. I am probably the only person who has the balls to conclude that out loud.

It is still all just a "plan". Obama can draw this out and have some hearings in the House, or let Ken Salazar have meetings with Oil company representatives. Hand shakes, talks-dinners, drinks, pictures, let the exploration phase start! Then wait until November 7th, 2012 and cancel the whole thing.

Better yet, let Congress kill it, after the coming November elections.

NOW, look at this from an OPEC point of view; That pisses us off! But, if we raise our prices like a few years ago, the whole US will back the drilling, and we will lose a huge market share. Prices will plummet. Keep the prices low and see if they really do it. Talk about a "can't lose" genius move!! Enjoy the cheap gas this summer and thank Obama for it.

No Oil For Nigeria

I can't blame Shell for shutting down Oil production, the residents can't negotiate, so they attack the pipelines. Now they will get nothing. The Nigerian Government should be attacked for holding out, but I think it would better if MEND found ways to attack them, not the pipelines. It's all a messy situation, and now Shell is caught in the middle, and sitting on a large investment, that is producing naught.

Oil Gets Cheaper

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8402886.stm

Cool, 5 days in a row, it's getting cheaper. This means OPEC will cut production, which means they will have less income, which means they (Iran) will have less money to support terrorists, which means the world will be a little safer.

Who Is Helping The Oil Companies?

http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/30/news/companies/exxon_earnings/index.htm?cnn=yes

Well, who is the president? Oh, right, George Bush. Who has lobbyist's running their campaign? Oh, right, John McCain. I am all for "redistributing" the one quarter's $15 Billion profits of Exxon all over the poor people in the US (and yes, they do exist, get out of your mansions and look). Call me a socialist if you like, but I would rather think of this as just fair. That much profit and paying no taxes on it either?

Makes me sick. Anyone listening out there?
