Is this shocking?  No, she is just doing her part, like the rest of corporate America, to keep unemployment high.  It's all a ploy by Rebulicans to make sure President Obama is finished in 2012.  If you doubt this claim: Pick a company, look at their profits, and layoffs.  They don't jive for all of them, but overall it does.  It's a corporate conspiracy that we don't have laws for.

The Global Economy

It amazes me that no one seems to have a clue as to why the economy is falling apart? We have seen this before, back in the 1930s.

Too much wealth was accumulated by the top 5-10% of earners, so there was no more money left in the rest of the population. Everything fell apart with a massive depression, and then recession after that. Duh, it's exactly what we are seeing now.

So what did the world's governments do back in the 1930s? They raised taxes on the rich, to the tune of 90% of income for some. I don't propose anything so draconian now. We wouldn't want their private tennis courts to go un-striped.

Just a bit more, like 5-10%. The middle class can afford a bit more too (the ones that have jobs). What people don't seem to get, is balancing the budget does NOTHING to pay down the debt. We need a surplus, not balance. "Revenue Neutral" policies guarantee complete failure.

It's a pretty good ploy; Announce a totally non-binding "plan" and let every Republican voter in the country soak that in (feels nice eh?). Let the pundits clap or groan, it still tugs at their heart strings...trying his best, Obama is. That was a bit Yoda-ish, sorry.

So maybe this guy is more in the "middle" than we all thought. Seed planted.

In reality, every State that bitches about it, will be left to decide for themselves. The smart ones will buy in, because that far out in the Ocean, any oil spill would be swiftly carried away by the Gulf Stream and prevailing winds. Off to cause problems for Europe. I am probably the only person who has the balls to conclude that out loud.

It is still all just a "plan". Obama can draw this out and have some hearings in the House, or let Ken Salazar have meetings with Oil company representatives. Hand shakes, talks-dinners, drinks, pictures, let the exploration phase start! Then wait until November 7th, 2012 and cancel the whole thing.

Better yet, let Congress kill it, after the coming November elections.

NOW, look at this from an OPEC point of view; That pisses us off! But, if we raise our prices like a few years ago, the whole US will back the drilling, and we will lose a huge market share. Prices will plummet. Keep the prices low and see if they really do it. Talk about a "can't lose" genius move!! Enjoy the cheap gas this summer and thank Obama for it.

Brownfields Economic Development Initiative $10 Million saved.
C-17 Strategic Airlift Aircraft $91 Million spent, I guess they are replacing them??
California Diesel Emissions Reduction Grants, $15 Million saved. Not a very green thing to do?
Civic Education, $31 Million saved.
CSAR-X Helicopter, $144 Million saved.
Delta Health Initiative, $26 Million saved, but Mississippi is pissed.
Denali Access, $6 Million saved on another Alaskan road to nowhere.
Denali Commission, $20 Million saved. Last year they got the money, even though HHS/HRSA didn't want it (there was another $3 Million for Job training saved too).
Emergency Operations Centers (DHS), $35 Million saved. This was for the "so called" interment camps that were popping up around the country.
Environmental Infrastructure Construction (Army Corp's Of Engineers), $180 Million saved. Their web site is gone, so I can't see what their projects were.
F-22 Raptor, almost $3 Billion saved.

There are a lot more details at the link above. I think a lot of the reductions are stripping out congrssional earmarks from the past.
