My neighbors from Burma (whom I love dearly) just got me to try some "fried beef". Just imagine beef jerky with no salt that is crunchy, like Cheetos.
He explained that it's pressure cooked, dried off, chopped up and then deep fried. They fry a everything.
He said they munch this when they drink in Burma. I asked if it has any nutritional value? He said "probably not", and laughed. Just like most American snack foods. Funny, we have a lot in common.
