H. R. 3541 Going After Woman's Rights

Republicans suspended the rules to try to rush this attack on legal abotions, again..

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hr3541rh/pdf/BILLS-112hr3541rh.pdf
Start reading at page 15 (of 22) if you wish.  The rest is their excuse for imposing this.

It's funny, Republicans talked a lot in the limited debate, about women in India and China aborting female babies. We aren't in China or India.

What this really is, is n attack that allows the Father or Grandparent (who are the very ones described as applying pressure on a woman to have an abortion because of the baby's sex) to sue the woman who had the abortion. Uh, what?? If the Family pressured the woman to have the abortion, why the hell would they want to sue her??

That is the rub, what this does is allow any pro life grandparent (as pure heresay) to sue their daughter/inlaw and doctor. They could also file an injunction before the abortion, forcing the pregnancy to go on even longer, while a judge decides if the case is a sex based abortion. It also allows the Attourney General to intervene on any Abortion.

If a Doctor or Nurse fails to report a suspected case, they can go to jail for a year. Let the witch hunt begin. This also redefines abortion, to not include instances of rape or incest.  No chance of getting through the Senate or the President.

S. 3187 Passes Senate Nearly Unanimously

S. 3187 forces drug/medical device buyers, to pay an extra tax ("user fee"), that is bundled up and sent back to Big PHARMA. It's a little over $600 Million over the next five years (this is actually just the tip of the Iceberg, they  give back alot more, but the actual "law" text amended by this,is hard to find). Considering that none of the drug/medical device companies are losing money (or paying taxes), this is just another way taxpayers fund Dividends on the companies stocks. Much like we do for Oil companies. So much for "free markets".

It also cuts $1.5 Million from Pediatric Device research, and Pediatric Drug research.  At least they screwed us across the aisle.

The Paul Ryan Republican Budget

I read it, the first half  is just overarching numbers that don't mean anything (because there are exceptions all over the place).

http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-112hconres112eh/pdf/BILLS-112hconres112eh.pdf

Starting on page 60, they cover the Medicare/Social Security changes. The Medicare part is going to kill Republicans this fall, unless they get out front with real details.

One GOOD thing they did, is actually recoup unobligated funds across government. The only problem is, that it doesn't request a presidential decree stopping the "spend it or you won't get it next year" WASTE that goes on, in every branch of government. Had they done that, this would have some real teeth.

The really BAD thing this does, is give even more tax breaks to rich people, kills AHA (at least four times), and not even attempt to balance the buget.

Get serious Paul...this is pretty much a bad joke.  Find the changes both sides can live with and start implementing them.

House Rep. Scott Rigell Is Slick..

Turn this into a Tech Park

Yes, Scott Rigell is yet another Republican, itching to hand over public lands for private development. It boggles my mind, to what ends big business will go, for "development" on what belongs to every US citizen.

Read at least the last page. Then the rest if you like.

Republicans Hate All Muslims

Now that I think about it, Hispanics too.  The following is from their Human Events email blast (that makes me chuckle, so stupid).

The mainstream media and numerous books strike a common theme: "True" Islam — as opposed to the terrorist's "extremist" version — promotes peace, justice, freedom, and tolerance.

The problem with this argument is that it is false and, therefore, dangerous, since it blinds us to the true nature of the enemy we face.

We at Human Events want you to know the truth about Islam's violent teachings, bloody history, backward culture and morally depraved founder.

Exposing myth after myth of the "Islam means peace" establishment, Robert Spencer tackles all the hot-button issues regarding Islam and the Crusades.

And now, for a limited time, The Politically Incorrect Guide™ to Islam (and the Crusades) is available to you.

It's the periodical that the peerless Ann Coulter, our legal affairs correspondent and a key participant in our weekly editorial meetings, proudly considers her editorial "home" — and where you can her trenchant, biting satirical columns.

Says Ann: "Not only do I write a weekly column for Human Events, I devour it from cover to cover. Why? Because it's the one newspaper I can count on to bring me the absolute, unvarnished, hard-hitting truth. And so should you."

Human Events is written and edited by gutsy people who will rescue you from the sticky tar pit of political correctness that passes for contemporary reporting... not girlie-boy editors afraid of sticking to their guns!

That means by reading Human Events, you can count on learning the news the liberal media try so hard to keep secret!

For example...

In a recent issue, you'd have found out President Obama's record-shattering spending spree is nowhere near finished...

Human Events, reported after his "economic stimulus" (which created no jobs) and his $550 million "taxpayer investment" in doomed solar-panel maker Solyndra — the President now intends to spend your money "to do our part" in the coming massive bailout of the deadbeat European Union.

You'd have also learned the truth about the frightening power of America's teachers' unions...

Human Events, reported that while New York City's mayor Michael Bloomberg successfully banned the unions from hiding hundreds of discredited or incompetent teachers in so-called "rubber rooms" at full pay — His Honor won only a partial victory. The disgraced or unqualified teachers still can't be fired.

You'd have found out the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is adding a new type of "disability" to its already long list — dropouts...

Human Events, reported the EEOC is warming to the notion that people without high school diplomas — including many dropouts — may be considered "victims" of a "disability" if the commission can carry out implementation of proposed new rules.

At Human Events, we consider it our responsibility to bring you stories like these — precisely because they've been deliberately hushed up by liberal outlets.

There's so much at stake today. America faces a presidential election during the most serious financial crisis of modern times. Never has it been more important for you to get the truth — not disinformation from a mainstream media that functions as the "unofficial" political arm of the White House.

Andrew Breitbart Is Threatened

He is threatened by people who are sick of the rich, driving the middle class into poverty, and the impoverished into the dirt.  He's a little pissed (as in drunk) and should only be commenting on how sorry he is.  Jesus would ask you to repent Andrew..

Some Republicans Get It..

Hats off to Washington State Rep. Maureen Walsh. She joins Dick(head) Chainey as a Republican accepting the gay. BTW, I make my self laugh by misspelling that name, all the time...

Why I Label Republicans As "Mean"

Not all of them, some are very cool centrist folks.

It's these guys; http://bluearkansasblog.com/?m=201201

And the tard that killed so many in Arizona. And the tards sending mailers about Democrats having to vote the day after polls close. And the tards denying access to millions of legal voters across the country, by enacting new registration laws.

Thos ones are mean.

Dana Loesch Is A Complete Idiot

Just wondering how a person gets that much hate inside one body? There are "rules of War" and desecrating the dead is a violation. I can't wait till Dana dies. The grass on her grave will grow tall..

I dare say her CNN days are done?

Newt Gingrich Is An Idiot

He supports Dictators killing their own people in the streets? Oh wait, that happens in America too.

Net Neutrality In The Senate

OK, this is REALLY important. The Republican House members passed this Bill, and I can summarize the impacts of it:
  • If you download more, you pay more.
  • If you upload more, you pay more.
  • If you have a Server, you pay more.
  • If you use Netflics, you pay more.
  • If you relentlessly watch cute kitty videos, you pay more.
  • If you are 70 years old and only check email twice a week, you pay the same as you pay now.
  • If you listen to InfoWars once a week, you pay the same as you pay now, maybe.
It allows Internet providers to throttle access speed, based on what you pay for (IE, going over 1GB a month). It ends the concept of "paying for the pipe size" (IE DSL vs Cable vs Dial-Up). Which means, the provider can't throttle you.

I can only say the impact to small business' if this were to pass would be terrible. Imagine a startup starts getting traffic, and immediately gets throttled by the ISP? It kills business. Of course at some point, the business would realize they need a "bigger pipe" and would pay more to make that happen. It's the threat of being throttled as that happens, that would kill availability. Kill business.

So, I am more than happy to report that President Obama has promised to Veto the bill that all Republicans support, should it get to his desk.

Ron Paul's "Plan To Restore America"

Pretty good stuff here;

http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/ron-paul-plan-to-restore-america/

Um, where to start...
FAA/TSA = Privatised, that should be fun. What could possibly go wrong?
FDA = 50% cut from today.  Ecoli anyone?
NIH = 30% cut from today.  Sounds reasonable, I used to work there and it's a bureaucratic mess.
DOJ = Cuts a lot of programs, see link above.
DOA = Kills research/education and WIC.
DHS = 30% cut from today.  That's smart.
DOE = Eliminated.  Good luck refueling any Navy Nuclear ships/subs.
HUD = Eliminated.  We need to fix the bridges, so the poor people have something to live under.
Departments of Commerce, Interior and Education = Eliminated.  Bye to all the national parks, trade access and any semblance of learning standards.
WELCOME TO 1910, all over again.

Why Does The GOP Suck So Bad?

I guess I can count these down:

10. You are fucking idiots, really.  You know this but live in denile.

09. You are so mentally weak that you actually belive what Republicans and your Church say is fact.

08. You are so mentally weak that you actually belive what your Bible says is fact.

07. You think the EPA and DOE are a waste of money, look at their history first. Just a little, for yourselves.

06. You know lower taxes for rich people will just make rich people richer, but still think it's good for America. Even though rich people sent your jobs to China and you are now on Unemployment, Social Security or Medicare.

05. You think Democrats are to blame for the financial situation the Country is in today, and have done nothing but listen to FOX News to support your position. A total FAIL (brainwashed).

04. You think Gay people will destroy the world. Last time I looked (read your Bible) it will be God who does that.

03. You think you will go to Heaven. I just have to say, that whoever greets you at the "pearly gates", they are going to laugh at your sad souls..so full of hate. Bring sunscreen.

02. You believe drilling oil all over America, will actually benefit America. The profits go to Global oil companies, not us. We just pay the high prices at the pump, and pay them "subsidies" to cover their payments to their share holders. This isn't a ponzi scheme, it is theft.

01. See number 10.

The Shell FLNG Project

It will be the biggest ship in the world.  And we give them tax breaks so they make billions world-wide.  Pretty smart.

Oh, forgot to mention it will be the biggest target on the planet for terrorists.

John Bo[eh]ner VS The Catholics

I never thought I would say this ever again, but YAY CATHOLICS!

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-0514-rutten-20110514,0,2274188.column

"Your voting record," they write, "is at variance from one of the church's most ancient moral teachings. From the apostles to the present, the Magisterium of the Church has insisted that those in power are morally obliged to preference the needs of the poor. Your record in support of legislation to address the desperate needs of the poor is among the worst in Congress. This fundamental concern should have great urgency for Catholic policymakers. Yet, even now, you work in opposition to it."

Clear Cut Forest For Yoga (Says Elton Gallegly)

So Elton has introduced H.R. 241 (a must read), which grants 5 acres of the Las Padres National Forest to The White Lotus Foundation.  The "foundation's" address is a fucking Golf Course???

I guess the question to Elton would be, "What the fuck dude??"

Republicans Want To Kill This

http://www.fcc.gov/Daily_Releases/Daily_Business/2010/db1223/FCC-10-201A1.pdf

It's the law that makes it illegal for internet providers to throttle any lawful traffic as part of the service they provide.  It pisses off ISPs, who want you to start paying for content based on bandwidth usage.
