Heinz Cuts Salt, People Are Bitter
If you look around the Net, you will see lots of similar stories, people afraid to have their food taste less salty. To them I will say, add your own salt if you really need it. Having a company as large as Heinz take the lead in this movement is fantastic.
I have had marginally high blood pressure (runs in the family) for a decade. It will probably kill me eventually.
As someone who wants LESS SALT, it is good to know that the market is working on that. It is almost impossible to find any low salt foods in the markets, and if I do, it disappears after a few months. I guess if you don't like it, grab your salt shaker and knock yourself out, literally.

I Am Sick Of The Oil Spill
I mean physically sick, I feel sick. Does anyone else feel this way? It's a poison that will seep into our economy for years (decades), and devastate the Gulf Coast at a minimum.
Now they are trying a catheter, gave up on the condom...Good luck with that.
The levels of incompetence by BP and their sub-contractors boggles my mind. And to go into a Congressional Hearing and not take the blame, should be grounds for shutting down EVERY OIL WELL THEY HAVE WITH A US LEASE.
It might get their attention. Apparently, destroying a big chunk of our economy doesn't.

This takes $25M out of the transit fund (that the States get anyway) and allots it to States that enact certain restrictions on teen drivers. The biggest is an interim period up to age 18 where the driver can't drive at night and has to have at least one 21 year old in the car.
Since I know young kids; if they are going to drive like idiots to the point of terminating their lives, they will do it no matter who is in the car. Is having a 21 year old idiot in the car going to stop that? No.
I consider it thinning the herd, natural selection. Let the idiots die, though I do feel sorry for the innocents that die in the process. They should have never gotten in the car, they knew (or found out real fast and should have demanded to get out) how the person drives.
